ATLANTA — As the debate among teen girls rages on about whether Justin Bieber is dating his tourmate, Disney princess Selena Gomez, the megastar teen is confident about one thing: Gomez’s awesomeness. MTV News caught up with the 16-year-old sensation as he got the word out about his holiday toy-collecting campaign, “Stuff Bieber’s Bus,” in Atlanta on Thursday (December 23), and while he didn’t suggest that the two were more than friends, he did gush a little bit about the “Wizards of Waverly Place” actress. Justin Bieber may be keeping his mouth shut about his relationship with Selena Gomez , but the teen heartthrob does have one thing to say about the Disney star. In a recent interview with MTV he was asked about those romance rumors. “She’s really cool,” Bieber said of Gomez. Which means if he has a girlfriend he isn’t about to tell everyone! “She’s an amazing person.” He added, “I think that people are always gonna be interested in my personal life … but I gotta keep some things to myself,” referring to the media swirling with rumors that the two are dating. “I’m just having fun being a teenager.” Speculation that the fresh-faced duo are more than friends has ramped up ever since the two were spotted hanging out and getting pancakes arm-in-arm. Despite the mild PDA, Gomez denied there were any romantic overtones to the outing, saying instead that the duo were just getting a quick bite eat while they both had some free time in Philadelphia. The two stars were reportedly just catching up as they happened to be in the same city at the same time, states MTV . “We were both performing in the same place so we went and had pancakes together. All innocent,” Gomez said despite the mild PDA that was noticed. For two people who are not dating however the pair does spend quite a bit of time together! Now he’s just become one of my good friends.” Gomez is also rooting for her good friend at the 2011 Grammys where the pop sensation is up for two trophies, including Best New Artist.
