Lindsay Lohan can’t even get work in a “porn” flick. The damaged actress, who was set to star as 1970s “Deep Throat” porn star Linda Lovelace in the biopic “Inferno,” was canned because she’s too “high-risk” to work with, director Matthew Wilder said yesterday. “We are withdrawing our offer from Lindsay Lohan,” Wilder told E!. While it may seem a harsh strike against Lohan 24, who is currently in rehab at the Betty Ford Center in California, the director says it’s not personal, it’s business. We’re told Lindsay felt the project no longer felt right but that her and the director, Matthew Wilder, remain on good terms and hope to work together in the future. I’m sure there are those who warned her about signing on for such a controversial project, but I have a feeling that her faith in the filmmakers will pay off for her career. With Lindsay Lohan tossed, Wilder and his team must now turn their attention toward finding a suitable replacement with presumably a big enough name to draw interest. This actress will need to embody the persona of a woman whose appearance in the film Deep Throat turned her from a virtual no one into a celebrated icon within a few short months, not to mention be immediately compared to Lindsay Lohan. The film was hyped as Lohan’s big chance at a comeback after her hot career flamed out amid her battle with drug addiction. “Ultimately, the impossibility of insuring her, and other issues, have made it impossible for us to go forward.”
