Lindsay Lohan’s mother speaks (seriously I had thought this was all over by now)

Lindsay Lohan’ s mother says her daughter’s treatment for addiction at the Betty Ford Clinic is working.

Dina Lohan told Matt Lauer on Monday morning’s Today show that the renowned addiction center in Rancho Mirage, Calif., is “an amazing place” that has really dug into the actress’ problems and brought them to the surface. Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan plans to open her own rehab facilities once she’s completed her drug treatment, according to her mother Dina. The embattled daughter and father reportedly met at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California after 1 P.M. and the site obtained a number of the reunion pictures . A COSTAR’S LOSS Jill Clayburgh is gone but not forgotten. But the stint is working wonders for Lohan and, during an appearance on America’s The Today Show on Monday,  her mum hailed the treatment as a “life-changing” experience for her daughter. Gyllenhaal had no idea the screen legend was battling chronic lymphocytic leukemia while filming. “I think part of her sickness is what made her live her life . . . and really cherish the moments she had and cherish the people she was with,” said Gyllenhaal while promoting the film in New York.

“Michael and Lindsay were at the mall for quite a while, but spent most of their time in a jewelry store,” an eyewitness told RadarOnline.com. Gyllenhaal credits her iconic portrayal of a divorcee in 1978′s An Unmarried Woman with helping his own mother through divorce. “It was an emotional reunion… there were hugs, kisses and even a few tears when Michael and Lindsay first saw each other,” a source with knowledge of the meeting shared.
