Host Kid Rock Has a Leg Up on Carrie Underwood
Kid Rock loves the whole country music scene. And really, who doesn’t? There’s a lot to love, whether you like old-school country, Southern rock, pop country or bluegrass. But Rock admits that he was a little skeptical when he was asked to host tomorrow night’s (June 9) 2010 CMT Music Awards, because he’s nervous about being on live TV. “I was really unsure if I could pull off carrying the show, or if I was going to look like an idiot. But I said, ‘What the hell?’” He told Us Weekly that he’s most looking forward to Carrie Underwood: “Every performance of her is like, ‘Check out my legs!’ I’m like, ‘I know! They’re awesome! I get it!’” The country rocker recently announced he’ll be hanging in Nashville for a few extra days since he’ll be playing the LP Field Concert Stage on Friday night (June 11) during the CMA Music Festival.
