“Awkward,” “creepy,” “disturbing.” Those were among the words “Harry Potter” fans used to describe the rather unexpected and altogether hallucinatory kiss between Harry and Hermione in “Deathly Hallows.” Streaming out of a midnight screening with lightning-bolt scars drawn on their foreheads and clutching wands, “Potter”-ites were still reeling from that onscreen smooch. “They’re totally topless and it’s really creepy,” Emma Larson told MTV News. The clock is at zero. MTV asked them to say a number of hilarious “American” words and phrases, such as Glenn Beck , Olive Garden, Boo-Yah and ” Justin Bieber is the man” without their clip. “It was only the day before that they said, ‘Oh, by the way, we hope it’s all right, but we want you to be topless , and we’re going to cover you in silver paint,’ ” the actress told us earlier this week. “Hey buddy, can I get an order or mozzarella sticks, please?” asks Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy . “This is like an audition!” Radcliffe shudders at one. Herewith eight of our suggestions for how WB might keep the franchise alive.

“This is controversial!” he says, before relenting: “Twilight blows.”

How is it as an adaptation of the final book? But for some, the kiss was a chance to see, at long last, Harry and Hermione together, at least for a few seconds.

Warner Brothers, like CNN, is owned by Time Warner. “Harry’s eyes in the movie are blue and … in the books they’re green,” she said. “This is a huge thing to a lot of the fans because they’re just so invested.” Spoiler alert: “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1″ has an already well-publicized additional scene, featuring Harry Potter and Hermione Granger slow-dancing a nod to fans who have long wondered if the two should be more than friends. Radcliffe told EW shooting that sequence challenged him because there were extras on set at the time, many of them so happy to be there portraying Hogwarts students they treated it like a party. “When you get to ‘The Deathly Hallows,’ you’ve really kind of shot yourself in the foot if you don’t have enough of that, because it’s a major plot development,” said Cleolinda Jones, a blogger and author of “Movies in Fifteen Minutes.” Harry Potter fans are not alone in their angst. Other fantasy book series have become popular movie series, including “Lord of the Rings,” “Twilight,” and “The Chronicles of Narnia.” Fans of those movies and books wrestle with the same kinds of frustrations. “That was pretty intense,” said Hillary Brens. “I think a lot of fans wanting that relationship to happen — they finally got it.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.
