Celine Dion - Last tour ever?

Celine Dion has hinted that her forthcoming world tour may be her last - as she wants to concentrate on motherhood.
The singer already has one child, six-year-old Rene Charles with husband Rene Angelil, but is keen to add to her family.
Dion insists any baby-making plans will have to wait until the end of her Taking Chances tour, which will see the singer perform over 100 dates in 85 cities.
She says: “If I had a child now I’d never want to go back on the road again.” Dion’s tour begins on February 14 and finishes in January 2009.

i really love her song but i feel very sad about this unexpected decission i want her to be back onto the road

Celian Dion is one of the best singers, until she became a SUPERSTAR. The best reason, is that, she has now captured the hearts of millions of people.

Celian is a classic singer. She made millions with her songs and I believe that it is time for her to stop - shes a legend.

That’s not what I wanted to hear. I love her and her music ::sigh:: . Oh well, I hope that she reconsiders one day.

If she does choose to settle down, she will be missed though. Like NX1 said when you get to a certain age, you have to start thinking about other things.

I think she would never quit on touring and music in general. Artists like she is rarely stop just for the sake of it. She may lay low for a while, but she will never quit forever, she couldn’t, its her life!
So I say to all the fans who never got the chance to see her, wait for a few years and she will be back on the road, and you could see her for a cheaper ticket also

Having a world tour concert is quite taxing. I think it is still good move on her part. Lesser exposure could mean more record sales as fans tend to long for her presence on stage. There is no doubt she is a talented singer. She reminds me of the blockbuster movie ‘Titanic’.

“The Last Tour” is a tired idea. It usually works, though. How many times did Sinatra make the last tour; and Streisand. Years and years ago, worked with Rene, her hubby, and one thing he can do well, very well, is squeeze the last ounce of juice from a nickel. She’ll be back and back and back, until the nickel is dry. On her wiki it states she’s 39. So it’s probably time to think of settling down. Last I heard of her she was doing the Las Vegas gigs. She accomplished alot so she has nothing else to prove.

Yes, I agree that it does work because people want to see that person for the last time. But, I don’t see why they can’t just tell us it’s there last time, then stay away.

Yea, agree with StretterC, for ballad strong, middle of the road acts, last tours are longer than Cher’s, going on and on and on. Dion will go SRO, everywhere, on the premise she won’t be back. She’ll be back when Rene needs pay off his next gambling debt or whatever. Gary D

The news is that the world concert tour has been gaining positive response from fans. This is indicated by the turnout of ticket sales. I for one would like to watch her concert with my special someone in tow. I still believe though that this is not her last. Fans over world love her. She will reach out as fans will clamor for more live concerts.
